Using CBD to Reduce Anxiety
In my journey of studying Alternative Medicine, I came across just how beneficial cannabinoids were to the human body (& animals). I researched countless hours of the benefits this amazing plant and its compounds like cannabidiol (CBD) has to offer. I read studies that have been conducted so I can share the “good stuff” with you. We live these hectic lives and are always in “go” mode. This over stimulation of our sympathetic nervous system sometimes puts us over edge… Now here is the exciting part! One study stated that CBD has a potential treatment for anxiety-related disorders, then concluded that CBD was shown to reduce anxiety, reduce the fight or flight reflex, offer anticonvulsive actions, and prevention of long-term anxiety effects of stress (Blessing, Steenkamp, Manzan, Marmar, 2015). As more studies are conducted, we will have a better understanding of this plant’s true potential.
