According to the health experts at the National Institute of Health (NIH), cannabidiol (CBD) interacts with serotonin receptors to give pain relieving and anti-anxiety properties (De Gregorio, et al., 2018).

The study states that daily repeated doses of CBD have shown offer pain relieving properties through TRPV1 activation, reduced anxiety 5-HT1A activation, and offers neuropathic pain teliefthrough 5-HT activation (De Gregorio, et al., 2018).
