What does CBD have to do with feeling queasy and throwing up?
According to the British Journal of Pharmacology, cannabidiol (CBD) was effective suppressing nausea/vomiting (n/v) response that is associated with chemotherapy, and was also shown to be effective in suppressing other forms of n/v as well (Parker, Rock, Limebeer, 2011). The study then went on to state that the endocannabinoid system is what regulates the n/v response, and we can manipulate that response by taking external cannabinoids like CBD, which works through the activation of our CB1 receptors and was shown to down regulate the n/v response (Parker, Rock, Limebeer, 2011). The study also stated that CBD was shown to be more effective in suppressing the n/v response than conventional pharmaceuticals (Parker, Rock, Limebeer, 2011).
Where is the news media? This is standard treatment for cancer patients right?!
