CBD and It’s Impact on Liver Functioning

CBD and It’s Impact on Liver Functioning
Ok, so I have this crazy obsession and I spend countless hours researching the benefits cannabis, more specifically CBD. This next one is…. well…… read it for yourself.
🐝
The British Journal of Pharmacology opened their study by explaining what exactly hepatic encephalopathy (HE) is, which is where your liver cannot effectively filter and remove toxins from your blood which can happen in acute or chronic liver failure and this build of toxins eventually impairs brain functioning (Avraham, 2011). The study was conducted on mice where they administered them a medication called thioacetamide, which when given a specific dose, would induce HE.
🌲
The study went as far as removing their brains, livers, and the blood was drawn for tests to determine liver enzymes to take note on the damage caused by thioacetamide for a later comparison.

Now buckle up.

The study stated that CBD has anti-inflammatory properties that act on the brain and liver, and this is where things get interesting (Avraham, 2011).
🌲
The study concluded that the rats who were given HE had severely impacted neurological and cognitive (ability to think, remember, etc) functioning, which was restored after the administration of CBD (Avraham, 2011).
♻️
The study concluded that CBD restored liver function, normalizing 5-HT levels, and restored normal brain function in the mice (Avraham, 2011).
🐝
Where are the human trials? I am sure it won’t be hard finding some volunteers. I know I don’t talk much about me, but this is my dream to finish school to be able to be a part of and conduct studies to make a difference in the cannabis medical literature and help show others the benefits of this plant compound.
🌲
Don’t get me wrong THC is great, but this CBD compound is out of this world! 😎
♻️
This is plant medicine.
