CBD and Homeostasis

CBD and Homeostasis

Another amazing property of cannabis, more specifically CBD is its ability to create and maintain homeostasis. Let me explain…

🐝

Homeostasis is a word that can be described as having a balanced equilibrium and it is a MUST for all living things.

🌲

This means that the body's needs are being met without interference, there are no illnesses present, and all the organ systems are functioning optimally, which in turn makes you healthy (Kunos, Osei-Hyiaman, Liu, Godlewski, Bátkai, 2008). The area of concern is when these imbalances are taking place over a long period of time. Things such as disease and even pharmaceuticals can cause a homeostatic imbalance within our body, which can stress out our cells and organ systems, which are now trying to cope and deal with a new imbalance with the goal of re-establishing homeostasis.

♻️

Now this is where a plant designed and created by God comes in and saves the day…

🐝

Cannabidiol (CBD) interacts with our master regulating system that is known as the endocannabinoid system (ECS). The ECS is a neuromodulating system that plays a significant role on our central nervous system (CNS) and can help improve two-way nerve cell communication through synthesis and degradation (making and breaking down) of specific enzymes, which in turn helps our body to achieve and maintain homeostasis (Lu, Mackie, 2016).

🌲

CBD was shown to help create balance in our body by interacting with our ECS to make different enzymes that help our body to achieve and maintain a homeostasis (Kunos, Osei-Hyiaman, Liu, Godlewski, Bátkai, 2008). This is really important when you have a deep understanding of what disease is and what it does to our body.

♻️

Though we may not always “feel” our CBD working, understanding what is happening on a cellular level is really important when it comes to health.

🐝

Alternative medicine is about finding and using alternative options that are health promoting and work with our body. My goal is to show you the power of cannabis, like CBD and how it can address many of the concerns we all live with every day.

🌲

My goal is to show people that they can get relief and it doesn’t have to cost them their health. This is plant medicine and the future of HEALTHcare.
