CBD and Colorectal Cancer
🐝
Colorectal cancer (CRC) is the 3rd leading cancer diagnosis around the world and 4th leading cause of cancer in the US. In 2020 1,880,725 people were diagnosed with CRC alone (Colorectal Cancer, 2022).
🌲
This is a huge problem not only in America, but around the world and it needs addressing, especially if there are published medical journals that discuss the anti-cancer and anti-tumor properties of cannabinoids like CBD against CRC.
♻️
Conventional treatment for CRC involves immunotherapy (biological/targeted therapy) which is supposed to boost one’s immune system to fight the malignant tumor, but there is a downside to conventional treatment (Zaiachuk, Pryimak, Kovalchuk, O., Kovalchuk, I, 2021).
🐝
Studies are showing that this conventional treatment isn’t always successful because of the cancer cells resistance to immunotherapy by having genetic alterations, which helps them to proliferate (continue to grow) (Zaiachuk, Pryimak, Kovalchuk, O., Kovalchuk, I, 2021).
🌲
This is terrible news for anyone that is trying to beat CRC and because of the cancer's ability to create resistance to treatment, alternative forms of treatment are being explored because we need something effective! Humanity depends on it.
♻️
This has led to the discovery of the anti-cancer and anti-tumor properties that CBD has to offer and the results are amazing!
🐝
According to Frontiers in Medicine, a peer reviewed medical journal, CBD has a promising future for treatment and prevention against CRC.
🌲
In fact, CBD was shown to inhibit cancer cell proliferation in a test tube (vitro) as well as in a living organism (vivo) INCLUDING other intestinal malignancies (intestinal cancer) (Zaiachuk, Pryimak, Kovalchuk, O., Kovalchuk, I, 2021).
♻️
CBD, as well as other cannabinoids, were shown to control (modulate) the pathways in which the cancer multiplies (proliferates), creates new vasculature to sustain life and growth of the cancer (angiogenesis), forming secondary cancer sites (metastasis), as well as programmed cell death (Zaiachuk, Pryimak, Kovalchuk, O., Kovalchuk, I, 2021).
🐝
The study concluded that inflammation plays a huge role with CRC and CBD’s anti-inflammatory properties were highlighted as a huge bonus when addressing CRC and the underlying conditions (Zaiachuk, Pryimak, Kovalchuk, O., Kovalchuk, I, 2021).
🌲
The studies are the exact reason why I started to offer high-dose CBD capsules. My goal is to help those that are battling cancer and to get the most out of organic full-spectrum hemp extract and all that it has to offer in terms of anti-cancer and anti-tumor properties (Zaiachuk, Pryimak, Kovalchuk, O., Kovalchuk, I, 2021).
♻️
This study was published in 2021, but the information has been published for years and we have known about the anti-cancer of cannabinoids like CBD for some time.
🐝
My next question is, who with CRC was told about the anti-cancer and anti-tumor properties of cannabinoids like CBD?
🌲
You see, this is the problem. The information and medical documentation is there, yet those suffering from CRC have no idea about this type of information. This lifesaving information isn’t being trickled down to those suffering and it’s a real problem within our healthcare system.
♻️
Education is everything when it comes to health and spreading awareness is the only way to change healthcare. When people demand better, we will get better. Education is power.
🐝
The best part about it is that CBD has a great safety profile (W.H.O., 2020).
This is plant medicine.
