What they tell you about osteoporosis:
🐝
-It is a chronic metabolic bone disease that causes porous, sponge like bones which reduces our bones density and strength making our bones much more susceptible to fractures (Sözen, Özışık, Başaran, 2017).
🌲
-1 in 3 women and in 5 males will have osteoporosis fractures at some point, now considered a global epidemic (Sözen, Özışık, Başaran, 2017).
♻️
-Osteoporosis happens because we lose bone faster than it is rebuilt (Sözen, Özışık, Başaran, 2017).
What they don’t tell you:
🐝
-Endocannabinoids play a role in bone remodeling and bone reabsorption (Idris, 2010).
🌲
-CBD (exogenous cannabinoid) acts on CB1 and CB2 receptors in the bones and plays a role in bone formation, regulation, and homeostasis (Idris, 2010).
♻️
-CBD increases bone reabsorption and increasing bone density by interacting with the CB1 and CB2 receptors (Idris, 2010).
🐝
To keep it simple, studies show that CBD increases our bone density, bone strength, increases bone formation and reabsorption, and reduces pain associated with osteoporosis (Idris, 2010).
🌲
Might I add that these studies were published in 2010, why do we not know of this valuable information since osteoporosis is considered a global epidemic?
